    Sketch to 3D for Alias and Catia workflows

    Bespoke AI turns a 2D sketch into 3D in two stages: an image-to-3D reconstruction that produces a watertight mesh at real-world scale, then BeSplines 2.2 curve-network and NURBS patch fitting that produces editable CAD surfaces. Unlike consumer sketch-to-3D tools that stop at a triangle mesh, the output exports as IGES and STEP and opens directly in Autodesk Alias, Catia, Siemens NX, Rhino and Onshape.

    Mesh output versus surface output

    Most sketch-to-3D tools target games, 3D printing and visualisation, so a triangle mesh is the finished product. Studios working in Alias or Catia cannot detail, mirror, fillet or trim a triangle mesh; they need a coherent curve network and NURBS patches with continuity between them.

    From one sketch to a surfaced model

    A single side view or three-quarter sketch is enough to start. The platform generates the missing orthographic and three-quarter views, keeps proportions and detail consistent across them, reconstructs the mesh, then surfaces it.

    Can AI turn a sketch into a 3D model?
